The clamshell is equipped with clamshell dredger, and is used for dredging soft clay, sand, and gravel. Production of a grad depends on the type of soils. Types of clamshell is introduced below.
Common Clamshell
This common clamshell has two halves and is used in silty, clayey and sandy soils . The claw is general composed of flat plates without teeth for dredging mud and fit with grabbing teeth for dredging sand, clay and gravel.
Orange Peel Grab Orange Peel Grab
This Orange peel grab is used for dredging sediments with irregular particulars as rock and other pieces, and the grab can not be closed completely.
Cactus GrabCactus Grab
The cactus grab is applied for dredging material with both coarse and fine particulars. It can close well as a very bucket.
